Dolly Parton's Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Restored After Vandalism

The Hollywood Walk of Fame star of the late legendary singer Dolly Parton has been fully restored and is once again on public display. The star, located at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard, had been damaged following Parton's death on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80.

The star, which Parton received in 1984, had already developed a crack before it was vandalised. It has now been repaired to pristine condition, much to the delight of fans and the Hollywood community.

Ana Martinez, the Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer, expressed her joy at the restoration, saying, "Our Dolly is back! Hollywood is thrilled that her star is back in pristine condition for fans to enjoy forever."

The news comes amid a wave of tributes and memorial events honouring the late singer. Parton's estate recently announced "DollyFest: The Celebration of a Lifetime," a series of major public events scheduled for consecutive weekends in 2027 in Nashville and London.

Parton passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Centre in Nashville. Her representative released a statement highlighting her lifelong dedication to bringing "joy, laughter, hope and integrity" to everything she touched, and noted her "unmatched generosity" that reached countless lives.

In the months before her death, Parton had stepped back from touring due to health issues. During a rare appearance at her Dollywood theme park in March, she reassured fans that she was not retiring, saying, "I've had a few little health issues, and we're taking good care of them." She also mentioned that she was recovering from the grief of losing her husband, Carl Dean, who passed away in March 2025.

Despite her health struggles, Parton remained determined to continue her work. "I've just been doing a lot of writing, a lot of thinking, a lot of praying and a lot of getting ready for a lot of new stuff coming up," she said. "I ain't done, I ain't near done."
