DU Student Detained Under NSA After Noida Workers' Clash, Later Granted Bail

A Delhi University student, Akriti Chaudhary, was taken into custody under the National Security Act (NSA) following a violent workers' protest in Noida. The detention order, however, was later quashed by the competent authority.

Despite the revocation of the NSA order, Chaudhary did not walk free. She remained in judicial custody because of separate criminal cases registered against her in connection with the violence that erupted during the protest in April.
