Kannada Actor Duniya Vijay's Son Accused of Assaulting Fellow Student in Bengaluru
Samrat, son of actor Duniya Vijay, is accused of assaulting a student after an overtaking row in Bengaluru. Police are investigating.
Bengaluru: Samrat, the son of Kannada actor Duniya Vijay, has been accused of assaulting a fellow student following a road altercation on Mysuru Road. The incident, which took place near RV University, has prompted a police complaint.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, Manish Gowda, the trouble began earlier in the day when Samrat and his friends, travelling in a Gypsy, were overtaken by Manish and his companions in an i20 near RR Nagar. The alleged confrontation escalated later when Manish was standing outside RV University.
It is alleged that Samrat and his friends confronted Manish, forcibly pulled him into a car, and assaulted him. Manish sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital. Both Manish and Samrat are students at RV University.
The Kengeri police have received the complaint and are investigating. A senior police officer said, "We have received the complaint and are looking into what exactly happened. An FIR will be registered once preliminary details are in."
