Dupahiya Season 2 to premiere on Prime Video on October 1
Prime Video has set October 1 as the worldwide premiere date for Dupahiya Season 2, with Nirahua joining the returning cast.
The wait for news on the second season of the Hindi comedy-drama Dupahiya is over. Prime Video has announced that the show will return for a worldwide premiere on October 1.
The new season is set once again in the fictional village of Dhadakpur. Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashpal Sharma are all reprising their roles. Actor and Bhojpuri singer Dinesh Lal Yadav, known to audiences as Nirahua, is the new addition to the ensemble.
The story will continue to follow the residents of Dhadakpur as they confront a fresh set of troubles. The first season revolved around the idea of a crime-free village, and the upcoming chapter promises more complications for its characters.
Sonam Nair directs the second season, which is created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg. Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani have created and produced the series under Bombay Film Cartel LLP.
The renewal was announced in March last year. A heartland comedy set in a fictional crime-free village, the series drew viewers with its sharp humour, memorable characters, strong performances and small-town warmth.
Season one ran for nine episodes and centred on a chaotic race to recover a school teacher's stolen motorcycle, meant as a wedding dowry, before it ended a rural Bihar village's 25-year crime-free streak and spoiled his daughter's wedding.
Dupahiya Season 2 will stream exclusively on Prime Video in India and in more than 240 countries and territories on October 1, 2026.
