Actor Emraan Hashmi has been diagnosed with Influenza A virus and Swine Flu, according to his medical test results. The diagnosis comes amid the success of his recent film, Awarapan 2, which has kept him in the public eye.
Hashmi was scheduled to appear at an event in Bengaluru but had to withdraw after falling ill. While he confirmed being unwell on social media, he did not initially disclose the specific diagnosis. Reports indicate he is currently recovering and has been advised rest.
In a message to fans on Instagram Stories, Hashmi apologised for the cancellation and assured them the event was only postponed, not cancelled. He wrote that tickets would remain valid for the new date and confirmed the show would now take place on September 12 at Sunburn Union.
The health setback comes at a busy time for the actor, who is next set to appear in the action film Gunmaaster G9, directed by Aditya Datt. The movie, which also stars Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana, released its teaser earlier this week and is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 27, 2026.
