GAIL Opens Executive Trainee Recruitment 2027 Based on GATE Scores

GAIL (India) Limited has announced Executive Trainee recruitment for 2027, with selection based on GATE 2027 scores. Applications open February 17.

GAIL (India) Limited, the Maharatna public sector undertaking and India's flagship natural gas company, has announced a recruitment drive for Executive Trainee positions. The company is seeking candidates in the disciplines of Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical Engineering.

Selection for these posts will be based entirely on the candidate's performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027. Scores from GATE 2026 or earlier years will not be considered for this recruitment exercise.

Eligibility and Age Criteria

Applicants must be 26 years of age or younger as of March 18, 2027. However, age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories. SC/ST candidates receive a 5-year relaxation, OBC (NCL) candidates receive 3 years, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) receive a 10-year relaxation.

Application Process

Candidates must first register and appear for GATE 2027 as per the schedule set by the organising institute. After receiving their GATE registration number, they must apply separately on the GAIL website under the 'Careers' section.

The online application window opens at 11:00 AM on February 17, 2027, and closes at 6:00 PM on March 18, 2027. Applications submitted without a valid GATE 2027 registration number will be rejected. No other mode of application will be accepted.

Each candidate can apply for only one post or discipline. Those applying for multiple positions will be disqualified.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisting for the next stage of the selection process will be based on GATE 2027 marks and the company's recruitment requirements. Detailed information is available in the official notification published by GAIL.
