Gandhari Sets Indian Netflix Record With 9.6 Million Views in Second Week
Gandhari logged 9.6 million views in its second week on Netflix, the highest single-week figure for an Indian Netflix Original film.
Taapsee Pannu's action thriller Gandhari has posted the biggest single-week viewership ever recorded by an Indian Netflix Original film, drawing 9.6 million views in its second week on the platform.
The film premiered on September 3 and opened with 5.9 million views, which placed it at No. 3 on Netflix's global chart for non-English films. In its second week it moved to the top of that chart, with weekly views rising by more than 60 per cent from 5.9 million to 9.6 million.
The second-week figure places Gandhari ahead of several established Indian titles on the service. It surpasses the 6.4 million second-week views recorded by Jaane Jaan and exceeds the numbers posted by Darlings in both its first and second weeks.
The comparison also extends to Indian films that are not Netflix Originals. Dhurandhar recorded 7.6 million views in its first week and 8.2 million in its second, benchmarks that Gandhari has now moved past.
With the latest weekly figures, the film has emerged as one of the strongest Indian performers on Netflix in 2026 and ranks among the platform's most-watched Indian titles of the year.
