Tenders for Godavari Pushkarams 2027 permanent works to be floated by November

Tenders for the permanent infrastructure being planned for the Godavari Pushkarams-2027 will be invited by the end of November, East Godavari District Collector Chekuri Kirthi has said. The temporary facilities for the event are to be put in place by March.
The Collector set out the timelines during a review meeting that was also attended by EV Consultancy, which has conducted studies on the Kumbha Mela.
According to the plan outlined at the meeting, the permanent works cover the development of ghats, the beautification of the river banks, a Digital Experience Centre and offices for Pushkar Nagar.
Separately, the administration is preparing a special drive titled Paint My City, aimed at celebrating the cultural history of Rajamahendravaram. Lighting, sanitation, themed entrance gates and themed lighting have been grouped under the temporary works category.
Officials have been instructed to finalise the proposed works so that they can be completed within the fixed deadlines. Joint Collector Y. Megha Swaroop, Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rahul Meena and other officials were present at the review.
