Gujarat Sets Ambitious Target to Process 500 Incentive Applications Daily
Gujarat aims to process 500 industry incentive applications daily next year, up from 395 currently, to boost investor confidence.
Gujarat is accelerating its industrial incentive processing with a new target of clearing 500 applications per day in the coming year, up from the current pace of 395 files daily. The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi at the curtain-raiser event for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 in New Delhi on Monday.
Sanghavi noted that the state's Industries Department has already more than doubled its processing speed this year, rising from 160 to 395 files per day. "In the coming year, we aim to process incentives for 500 applicants daily; we are moving forward with this specific target in mind," he said.
Addressing investor concerns, Sanghavi highlighted Gujarat's consistent record of honouring policy commitments. He stated that over the past 25 years, no investor in the state has been denied incentives promised under government policies. He also assured attendees about the safety of their capital, saying that as Home Minister, he guarantees the security of every rupee invested in the state.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, speaking at the same event, attributed Gujarat's strong investment ecosystem to its deep-rooted culture of entrepreneurship and trade. He also underscored India's resilient economic growth, noting that the country maintained a 7.5% to 8% growth rate even as the US, China, and Europe hovered between 2% and 4.5% during global crises. Mandaviya further pointed to tax reforms, including the transition from VAT to GST, as a factor in easing the burden on businesses.
