Eight-Year-Old Boy Dies After Pitch Roller Hits Him at Gurugram Academy

An eight-year-old boy died on [date] after being struck by a mini pitch roller at a cricket academy in Gurugram. The child, identified as Akash Kumar, was a resident of Nalanda in Bihar.

According to preliminary police information, Akash was playing with his brother Neel and other children on the academy premises when the incident occurred. The mini pitch roller, which was parked at the location, suddenly began moving.

Investigators believe a child's hand accidentally triggered the machine's circuit breaker. Around the same time, Akash fell in front of the moving roller and was hit. The other children present at the scene fled in fear after the accident.

Akash's family immediately arranged a vehicle and rushed him to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon examination.

Police investigation revealed that no one was supervising the roller at the time of the accident. The investigating officer stated that the family has not alleged any negligence in the incident.
