The two-minute-and-37-second preview opens with students arriving at Hogwarts, where Professor McGonagall leads them into the main hall. It then cuts to first glimpses of Harry, Ron, and Hermione aboard the train to school.

The trailer showcases the iconic Sorting Ceremony, where new students are assigned to their houses. Harry is also seen meeting key staff members, including Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, and Hagrid, and attending classes in herbology and potions. A brief shot of Quidditch, the high-flying sport, is also featured.

The footage teases the central mystery of the Philosopher's Stone, placing the trio in front of a mountain troll in a bathroom. The official logline describes Harry as an ordinary boy who discovers a hidden world of magic and adventure, but also dark secrets that force him to confront the darkest wizard of all.

The series stars Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, and Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy.

Based on J.K. Rowling's books, the show is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will direct multiple episodes and serve as an executive producer. The series is produced for HBO in association with Bronte Film and TV and Warner Bros Television. It is scheduled to debut on December 25 on HBO.
