Harvard executive education programmes to begin in Hyderabad this December

Harvard University will begin offering executive education programmes in Hyderabad from December, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has said.

The announcement came during a meeting with a 30-member delegation of UK business schools and universities at the MCR HRD Institute. The delegation included House of Lords member Karan Bilimoria, British Council Director Janaka Pushpanathan, Chartered Association of Business Schools CEO Flora Hamilton and representatives of the British Deputy High Commission.

Mr. Reddy said his government would extend all necessary support to international universities and business schools looking to establish a presence in Telangana. Work on setting up offshore campuses by institutions such as MIT and Purdue has already begun, he added.

He pointed to possible partnerships with Harvard, MIT, the University of London, Virginia Tech and Northeastern University in areas including executive programmes, dual-degree courses, faculty training and research. The arrival of leading UK business schools, he said, would also help draw major global corporate organisations to the State.

The Chief Minister said an education hub is being developed in Bharat Future City, where the Young India Skills University is being set up to equip young people with advanced skills matched to changing market requirements.

He invited the UK delegation to the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, scheduled for December, saying prominent members of the UK education sector would receive special invitations. The summit, he said, is being planned along the lines of the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos and will serve as a platform to showcase Telangana to global investors.
