Hisar Police Arrest Two Over Fake AI Image of Cop and Sanitation Worker

Hisar Police have taken two individuals into custody in connection with the circulation of a fabricated image on social media. The image, reportedly generated using artificial intelligence, depicted a violent scene involving a police personnel and a woman sanitation worker.

According to officials, the accused are believed to have used an AI chatbot and a mobile phone to produce the misleading visual. The picture was then shared online in a manner that suggested it showed a real incident.

A case was registered earlier, prompting an investigation that led to the arrests. Authorities have seized the suspects' mobile phones and are examining other digital evidence to trace how the image was created and distributed.

In a public advisory, police have urged social media users and media organisations to refrain from sharing unverified photographs, videos, or AI-generated content. Officials cautioned that presenting fabricated material as genuine news could attract legal consequences.

Hisar Police have stated that action against those involved in spreading misleading or fake AI-generated content will continue as per the law.
