Himesh Reshammiya reunites with Vikram Bhatt after 13 years to compose music for 1920: Cold Winter, which will be filmed in Mussoorie.

Music composer Himesh Reshammiya has come on board Vikram Bhatt's upcoming horror film, 1920: Cold Winter. The development marks a reunion for the duo, who last worked together over a decade ago.

The two have previously collaborated on four films: Footpath (2003), Fear (2007), Red: The Dark Side (2007) and Dangerous Ishhq (2012). 1920: Cold Winter will be their fifth project together.

Reshammiya's music label, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, has also acquired the music rights for the film. The label is set to release songs from other projects he is composing for, including the Emraan Hashmi-starrer Gunmaaster G9, the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Yeh Prem Mol Liya, and Anil Sharma's Arjun Naga, which features Utkarsh Sharma and Arjun Rampal.

Bhatt, known for shooting several of his films in Ooty, has chosen Mussoorie as the location for 1920: Cold Winter. The shoot is scheduled for the winter season towards the end of the year, in keeping with the film's requirements.

The film was announced weeks after the release and box office performance of Haunted – Echoes Of The Past (2026). Like that Mimoh Chakraborty-starrer, 1920: Cold Winter is produced by Anand Pandit.

Ahan Shetty has been locked in as the male lead, while Anya Singh, who appeared in The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, has joined the cast. Shetty and Singh previously shared screen space in this year's war film Border 2, where he played Lt Cdr Mahendra Singh Rawat and she portrayed his wife, Sudha Rawat. 1920: Cold Winter will mark their second film together as a pair.
