HMDA invites bids for 8.75 km elevated corridor linking Banjara Hills and Gachibowli
HMDA has called tenders for an 8.75-km elevated corridor from Banjara Hills to the Shilpa Layout flyover road at an estimated ₹1,334.87 crore.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has floated tenders for an 8.75-km elevated corridor connecting the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at Banjara Hills to the Shilpa Layout flyover road. The estimated cost of the project is ₹1,334.87 crore.
The corridor will be built on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) turnkey basis, with the selected contractor responsible for survey, investigation, design and construction. The scope of work also covers road widening and reconstruction along the route.
The design combines four-lane and six-lane elevated stretches with ramps and sections at ground level. Entry and exit ramps are planned at multiple points, and a parcel of roughly 200 metres by 20 metres has been reserved for a possible viewing gallery in the future.
HMDA has set a completion period of 24 months, a window that includes the monsoon season and the time needed to shift utilities. Bids will be accepted until October 5, while a pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for September 22 at the office of the Chief Engineer, HMDA.
