Man Held in Hubballi for Showing Obscene Videos to 10-Year-Old Girl

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in Old Hubballi, Karnataka, for allegedly showing obscene content on his mobile phone to a 10-year-old girl, police said.

The accused has been identified as Mazhid Nadaf, a daily-wage labourer from the area. According to police, he had befriended the child over the past few weeks.

The girl would pass by his house on her way to school, and he is said to have spoken to her regularly during those walks. Police allege that he also gave her small sums of money and asked her to buy items for him.

Investigators claim that Nadaf, who is married, later behaved inappropriately with the child and showed her obscene videos on his phone with wrongful intent.

The matter came to light after the girl informed her parents about his behaviour. They then approached the Old Hubballi Police Station and lodged a complaint.

Acting on the complaint, police took the accused into custody and began an investigation. Officials said they are also looking into his background and gathering further details as part of the probe.
