EAGLE Force cracks down on e-cigarette sales at two Hyderabad outlets
EAGLE Force action in Hyderabad against e-cigarette sales at two stores leads to identification of 130+ buyers.
In a targeted operation against the illegal sale of e-cigarettes, the EAGLE Force has acted against two retail outlets in Hyderabad. The enforcement drive is part of ongoing efforts to curb the distribution of vaping products, which remain prohibited under Indian regulations.
During the course of the enquiry linked to these two stores, investigators were able to trace a significant customer network. Preliminary findings suggest that at least 130 consumers within Hyderabad had purchased e-cigarettes from these specific locations.
Further scrutiny of banking transaction records has allowed authorities to expand their net. This financial trail has reportedly helped identify as many as 351 buyers who made purchases from the outlets in question.
Officials have indicated that these identified individuals will not be spared. Legal proceedings are slated to be initiated against the 351 buyers, signalling a stringent approach to enforcing the ban on such products at the consumer level as well.
