
Art Director Anand Sai's Son Arrested in Hyderabad Hit-and-Run That Killed Pedestrian
Hyderabad police arrested Sandeep, son of art director Anand Sai, in a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian and injured a driver.
Hyderabad's Raidurgam Police have arrested Sandeep, son of prominent art director Anand Sai, in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in the early hours of August 31. The accident took place on the main road from ORR Rotary towards Khajaguda village, opposite Ankura Hospital.
According to police, a pedestrian, aged around 30-35, was crossing the road when an XUV, allegedly driven rashly from Nanakramguda ORR Rotary towards Khajaguda, struck him. The car driver and another person then attempted to shift the injured pedestrian to a hospital.
However, while doing so, two unidentified vehicles coming from the opposite direction at high speed hit the injured pedestrian and the driver, fleeing the spot immediately. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
The driver, identified as 21-year-old Zaydshah Kadri, suffered a fracture to his right leg and other injuries and was taken to CARE Hospitals in Gachibowli for treatment.
Police have identified the accused as Sandeep and have taken him into custody. His XUV electric car has been seized. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
