Hyderabad Man With Criminal Past Found Dead; Murder Case Registered
Haji Sohel, a man with a criminal record, was found dead with multiple injuries in Hyderabad's Mailardevpally area. Police have registered a murder case.
A man with a criminal record was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Hyderabad's Mailardevpally area in the early hours of Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Haji Sohel, a local resident and a known rowdy-sheeter.
Police received a Dial-100 alert at approximately 6 am, reporting an injured man lying in the area. A patrol team that was dispatched to the location found Sohel dead with multiple injuries on his body.
Following the identification of the victim, authorities informed his family members, whose complaint has been recorded. A case of murder has been registered at the Mailardevpally Police Station.
While the exact motive behind the killing is yet to be established, investigators are exploring several possibilities, including whether the incident was connected to past rivalries or personal disputes. ACP Chandrayangutta A. Sudhakar confirmed that the circumstances leading to the death are being investigated.
As part of the probe, police are scrutinising CCTV footage from the vicinity to piece together the sequence of events and identify the suspects. The body has been moved to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.
