IAF and Japan's JASDF to Hold Bilateral Air Exercise Veer Guardian-2026 at Jodhpur
India and Japan will conduct bilateral air exercise Veer Guardian-2026 at Jodhpur from September 9-22, featuring frontline fighters from both air forces.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) are set to conduct their bilateral air exercise, Veer Guardian-2026, at Air Force Station Jodhpur. The exercise is scheduled to run for fourteen days, from September 9 to September 22, 2026.
The IAF will field a diverse mix of frontline combat aircraft for the exercise, including the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas, the Su-30 MKI, and the Rafale. The JASDF will participate with its F-2A fighter aircraft.
During the exercise, participating air warriors will undertake advanced operational missions and engage in extensive professional interactions. The programme is designed to integrate mission planning conferences, subject matter expert exchanges, and interaction between personnel on engineering and aerospace safety aspects. These activities are aimed at fostering deep operational synergy between the two air forces.
