IAF's Sarang Helicopter Team Arrives in Egypt for El Alamein Airshow
IAF's Sarang team reaches Egypt for the El Alamein International Airshow, showcasing ALH Dhruv capabilities.
The Indian Air Force's Sarang Helicopter Display Team has arrived in Egypt to take part in the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow. The event is scheduled to run from September 8 to 10, 2026, at the El Alamein International Airport.
Sarang, recognized as the world's only five-helicopter display team, will perform a series of carefully coordinated aerial displays. The team's repertoire includes its signature 'Dolphin Leap' and a newly introduced maneuver called the 'Spot Stall Turn.'
The team flies the indigenously developed Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv. Their performance is intended to highlight both the pilots' precision and the capabilities of India's domestic aerospace sector.
This participation marks another step in the growing defense and diplomatic relationship between India and Egypt. The airshow brings together air forces and aerospace professionals from around the world, and Sarang's display is expected to add a distinctive element to the proceedings.
