New footage shows gunman firing into Idaho In-N-Out drive-thru
Surveillance video shows a gunman firing into an Idaho In-N-Out drive-thru, killing three and wounding seven before taking his own life.
Twin Falls police have released surveillance footage showing a gunman firing into an In-N-Out Burger drive-thru window last Saturday, an attack that left three people dead and seven others wounded.
The video, made public Friday, shows 24-year-old Chad Williams approaching the drive-up window four separate times to discharge his weapon. Two of the victims were shot outside the restaurant and in the adjacent parking lot.
Authorities said they have not yet established a motive for the attack. Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks described the incident as "violent, frightening and deeply traumatic" for those who witnessed it.
The gunman died by suicide at the scene. The victims were identified as Ashley Garibay, 23, of Stockton, California; Dale Schultz, 66, of Salt Lake City; and Christopher Claunch, 59, of Hagerman, Idaho. Among the deceased were a restaurant employee and a man known for helping others achieve sobriety.
The In-N-Out location had opened in July as part of the chain's expansion into Idaho. The investigation remains ongoing.
