A student at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi has received an annual package of Rs 1.25 crore from the global technology firm Rubrik, marking the highest placement offer in the institute's history.
Saksham, who is pursuing Computer Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, has been hired as a Technical Program Manager. The role will involve coordinating with technical teams, planning projects and helping ensure that complex work is delivered within set timelines.
A record for the institute
The offer is the largest package ever secured by a student of IIIT Ranchi, according to the institute. Rubrik, the company extending the offer, operates in the areas of data security and cloud data management.
Saksham's interest in computer science, data science and artificial intelligence grew during his time at the institute. His academic grounding and inclination towards solving technical problems, the institute said, helped prepare him for opportunities in the technology sector.
Family and mentors credited
Reflecting on the offer, Saksham credited his family, friends, teachers and mentors for their support through his journey. He described the moment as special and emotional, and thanked those who stood by him and believed in his abilities.
