IIM Bangalore Leads Indian B-Schools in FT Masters in Management 2026 Rankings
IIM Bangalore ranks 21st globally in FT MiM 2026, topping Indian B-schools. SPJIMR and IIM Ahmedabad follow in the top 30.
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has emerged as India's top-ranked business school in the Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management (MiM) 2026 ranking, securing the 21st position globally. This marks a significant improvement from its 28th rank in 2025 and 41st position in 2024.
Several other Indian institutions have also performed strongly in the latest rankings. SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) secured the 26th spot, while IIM Ahmedabad followed closely at 27th. XLRI and IIM Calcutta also made it to the top 40, ranking 33rd and 39th respectively.
The list of Indian schools in the global top 100 includes IIM Kozhikode (54th), IIM Indore (62nd), and Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon (67th). IIM Lucknow (72nd), NMIMS Mumbai (73rd), IIM Udaipur (83rd), IMI Delhi (90th), and TA Pai Management Institute (98th) also feature in the rankings.
Globally, the University of St Gallen in Switzerland retained the top position. Nova School of Business and Economics in Portugal came in second, while Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Antai College of Economics and Management in China took the third spot.
The FT MiM ranking evaluates business schools on parameters such as career outcomes, salary growth, value for money, international exposure, student diversity, and sustainability initiatives. The consistent presence of multiple Indian institutes in the top 100 underscores their growing global standing in management education.
