Registration for IIT JAM 2027 has begun, with the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur opening the application window on September 12, 2026. The deadline for submitting the form is October 12, 2026.
Applicants are advised to keep their documents ready before starting the process. These include the Class 10 certificate, a photograph, a signature and, where applicable, a category certificate. A correction window is tentatively scheduled to open on November 10, 2026, giving candidates a chance to fix errors in their submitted forms.

Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree, or who are appearing for the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2027, are eligible to take the test.

Exam schedule
The examination will be held on February 14, 2027, in two shifts at designated centres. The first shift runs from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the second from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates may opt for one or two Test Papers; those choosing two must pick papers scheduled in different sessions.
Application fee
Female, SC, ST and PwD candidates pay Rs 1,000 for one Test Paper and Rs 1,350 for two. All other candidates pay Rs 2,000 for one paper and Rs 2,700 for two.
After filling in the form and paying the fee, applicants should submit it online, download the completed application page and retain a hard copy for future reference.
