India Post Opens Applications for 23,757 Gramin Dak Sevak Posts

India Post has commenced the online application process for the recruitment of 23,757 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official India Post website until September 21, 2026. The window for correcting application forms has been scheduled for September 23 and 24.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board, with Mathematics and English as subjects. Additionally, candidates should have studied the local language of the concerned postal circle up to the Class 10 level. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 40 years.

Application Fee

The application fee is set at Rs 100. However, female candidates, transgender women, and those belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempt from paying the fee. Payment can be made online via UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Selection Process

Selection will be based purely on a merit list drawn from the marks obtained in Class 10. No written examination will be conducted. In cases where marksheets show grades or points, they will be converted into marks as per prescribed rules. The merit list will be prepared with percentages calculated up to four decimal places.
