Indiramma Housing lucky draw begins in Hyderabad; four constituencies covered on day one
Lucky draw for Indiramma Housing flats held in four Hyderabad constituencies on August 28; process continues till August 31.
The draw of lots to select beneficiaries for flats in Indiramma Housing towers in Hyderabad commenced on Friday, August 28, covering four of the 16 Assembly constituencies. A large turnout was witnessed as applicants gathered hoping to secure one of the newly constructed homes.
The first day's draws were held for the Qutbullapur, Secunderabad Cantonment, Rajendranagar, and Nampally constituencies. The process is scheduled to continue over four days, with four constituencies being covered each day. On Saturday, August 29, draws will be held for Khairatabad, Kukatpally, Amberpet, and Bahadurpura constituencies.
Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy participated in the draw held in Mailardevpally. In a social media post, he shared a notable moment from the event in Lakshmiguda under the Rajendranagar constituency, where a child drew the winning token, and it turned out to be for the child's own family. The Minister described the outcome as a blessing, noting that the token went to the family of Ms. Lakshmi Jarapala.
Under the scheme, the government provides a subsidy of ₹5 lakh per flat, with beneficiaries contributing ₹6 lakh. The contribution is payable in four instalments, with the first instalment of ₹1 lakh due after provisional allotment. Each family is eligible for only one flat.
Selected applicants will be notified via message, and the list of beneficiaries will also be uploaded online. The draw of lots was streamed live, with links available on the Telangana Housing Board website and its social media handles.
