Iran says US strikes failed despite overwhelming force

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that recent American military strikes against the country failed to achieve their objectives, despite the US deploying forces more than ten times the scale of Iran's own.

Speaking on Wednesday, IRGC Deputy Commander-in-Chief Mostafa Izadi said the conflict has challenged long-held perceptions of US military superiority. He claimed senior US military officials are now acknowledging the pressure exerted by Iran's strategic capabilities.

Izadi further stated that Iran's production capacity for advanced drones and missiles now exceeds its defensive requirements, with output several times greater than the number previously launched at enemy targets. He added that development of new Iranian air defense systems is progressing steadily.

Iran's acting Defense Minister Ebn Al-Reza said battlefield analysis showed the enemy deployed its highest level of technology, providing Tehran with significant technical expertise and intelligence.

In a separate development, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei said on Wednesday that a new Iranian strategy covering warfare, diplomacy, and economics would soon "shatter" US foundations. The remarks came in response to deadly overnight American attacks.

The US Central Command had earlier stated on X that its forces "successfully completed a wave of strikes against Iranian military targets," citing recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members.

Iran subsequently attacked US bases and assets in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, and the United Arab Emirates.
