Iran to restore 95 mcm/d gas output by September end

Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad has announced that the country will restore 95 million cubic metres of gas per day to its production cycle by the end of September. The statement, carried by the oil ministry's news outlet, comes as Tehran continues repair work on energy infrastructure that was damaged during the recent war against Israel and the United States.

The announcement follows an earlier projection from a senior government official in July, who said Iran expected to recover roughly 100 million cubic metres per day of natural gas production capacity within the coming months. That estimate came after strikes had removed about 230 million cubic metres from daily output since the conflict began in late February.

The restoration effort is part of a broader push to stabilise domestic energy supply and bring production back toward pre-conflict levels. The timeline set by the oil minister signals that significant repair work is already underway, with the target representing a substantial portion of the capacity lost during the hostilities.
