Iran Urges Nations to Reject US Sanctions, Calls Them State Terrorism

Iran's Foreign Ministry has called on all countries to refuse implementing United States sanctions against Tehran, arguing that participation in such measures makes them complicit in imposing one state's unlawful will on independent nations.

In a statement posted on its official X account on Friday, the ministry described the latest American economic measures as illegal and reprehensible, characterising them as "state terrorism" and a crime against humanity. The statement warned that the sanctions place the health and livelihoods of millions of civilians at serious risk.

The ministry urged the international community to uphold the rule of law and resist what it termed an unlawful exercise of power. It also said Tehran would deploy all available capabilities to defend itself against what it described as a combined US-Israeli military and economic assault.

The remarks come amid continued tensions between Iran and the United States over sanctions policy, with Tehran maintaining that such measures violate international norms and harm ordinary citizens.
