Iran Warns of 'More Painful' Response to Any Future US Attack

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that the United States must recognize that the "rules of the game" in any conflict with Iran have fundamentally shifted, and it should do so "before it is too late."
Speaking a day after US forces struck several Iranian tankers, Qalibaf asserted that any future aggression against Iran's interests or security would now be met with a response that is "faster, heavier and more painful" than before. His remarks, delivered in a statement published on his official Telegram channel, signal a hardening of Tehran's posture in the ongoing standoff.
The comments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with the US military campaign targeting Iranian vessels at sea. Qalibaf's warning appears aimed at deterring further American operations by underscoring Iran's commitment to retaliate with greater force and speed than it has in past encounters.
