Israeli airstrike in Nuseirat, central Gaza, destroys civilian homes and a market, injuring at least nine people.
An Israeli airstrike in the central Gaza Strip has caused significant destruction, with a hospital reporting it received nine injured people following the attack on a residential area in Nuseirat on Wednesday.
Awda Hospital confirmed it was treating nine individuals wounded in the strike, which targeted a house in the Nuseirat area. The Israeli military has acknowledged carrying out strikes in Nuseirat, as well as in the Daraj Tuffah neighborhood and the Shati refugee camp.
Zakaria Abu Dalal, whose home was destroyed in the bombardment, described the site as a civilian residence. "The people living here are children," he said, adding that five-story buildings were completely leveled and that surrounding homes, a local market, and shops were also destroyed.
A displaced person named Hani Abu Al-Kas recounted that an evacuation order for the Abu Dalal block was issued only half an hour before the strike, leaving residents no time to collect their belongings. He stated that the attack hit while people were at a local market, damaging goods and forcing shops to close.
Separately, evacuation orders were issued in Khan Younis on Wednesday afternoon ahead of a strike in the southern Gaza Strip.
