Jailer 2 second single 'One Sun, One Moon' puts Rajinikanth's Muthuvel Pandian in focus

The second single from the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2 has been released, offering fans another look at the superstar in his returning role of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.

Titled One Sun, One Moon, the track was unveiled by Sun Pictures on Friday. Its lyric video leans on Rajinikanth's screen presence and the larger-than-life image he carries, rather than offering clues about the sequel's plot.

Anirudh Ravichander has composed the song and also sung it, sharing vocal duties with MS Krsna. The lyrics are by Heisenberg and Super Subu. Among the lines featured is "Innaikkum Ennennaikkum, Oru Thalaivan Dhaan", which plays on the actor's enduring popularity with his fanbase.

New footage of Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian is woven through the video, giving viewers a closer view of the character in the follow-up.

Jailer 2 brings back the core team from the 2023 original, with Nelson Dilipkumar directing again and Anirudh Ravichander returning as composer. The first film was among Rajinikanth's biggest successes, and expectations around the sequel have been building steadily.

The makers have been rolling out promotional material, including an announcement teaser and the earlier song Ala Bolelo. The cast has also grown: Vijay Sethupathi is set for a cameo, while SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Vidya Balan are among those appearing in the film.

With Rajinikanth back as Muthuvel Pandian and much of the original crew in place, Jailer 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 15.
