Jaipur man suspected of killing wife, three daughters with cement block

A woman and her three daughters were found dead with head and face injuries in Jaipur's Kardhani area; police suspect the husband and have launched a search.

A 40-year-old woman and her three daughters were found dead at their home in Jaipur, with police suspecting they were bludgeoned with a cement block during a family dispute.

The bodies of Geeta Jha and her daughters Nandini, Radhika and Gauri, aged between 15 and 22, were discovered in separate rooms of the house in Govind Vatika, within the Kardhani police station limits, on Thursday. All four had injuries to their heads and faces.

Police suspect Geeta's husband, Rahul Jha, carried out the killings. He is believed to have fled after the incident, and his phone has been switched off since. Teams have been formed to trace him.

A cement block thought to have been used in the attack was recovered from the house. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Jaipur West) Shiv Kumar Bhadwaj said the preliminary investigation suggests the four women may have been attacked while they were asleep.

Police and Forensic Science Laboratory teams reached the spot after local residents alerted the authorities. Further investigation is underway.
