Jayarajan calls Satheesan a fellow traveller of the BJP, warns of Congress exodus
E.P. Jayarajan has alleged that Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan is increasingly becoming a fellow traveller of the BJP and that a section of the Congress would follow suit.
CPI(M) central committee member E.P. Jayarajan has alleged that Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan is increasingly turning into a fellow traveller of the BJP, and predicted that a section of the Congress in Keralam would also shift to the saffron party.
Speaking at a memorial meeting in Payyambalam on Wednesday, Mr. Jayarajan remarked that if present political trends continued, the BJP might as well take the Chief Minister along with it.
The event was held to mark the 54th death anniversary of Azhikodan Raghavan, a former State secretariat member of the CPI(M). Mr. Jayarajan inaugurated the meeting.
Turning to internal party matters, he described former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as the strength of the CPI(M) and alleged that there was an attempt to weaken the party in Keralam by targeting him. He said the party would resist such efforts.
CPI(M) Kannur district secretary K.K. Ragesh presided over the function, while State secretariat members M.V. Jayarajan and P. Jayarajan also spoke.
