John Abraham Begins London Shoot for Ribhu Dasgupta's Psychological Thriller 'Guru'

John Abraham has quietly begun work on his next film, a psychological thriller with the working title Guru, which is currently being shot in London.

The project is being directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, whose earlier credits include Te3n (2016) and The Girl on the Train (2021). Abraham is said to have been drawn to the concept and the director's vision before signing on.

The cast includes Danish Pandor, known for Dhurandhar, along with Arif Zakaria and Kitu Gidwani.

Guru is being produced by Abraham's own banner, JA Entertainment, in partnership with Authum Entertainment. The film could arrive in cinemas in 2027.

The thriller marks another addition to Authum Entertainment's growing slate. The company, the film production arm of Authum Investment & Infrastructure, is also backing Abraham's Maria IPS, in which he plays former top cop Rakesh Maria, as well as Golmaal 5, which brings together Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, with Akshay Kumar also part of the ensemble. Both are expected in 2027.

Abraham, who had no release in 2026, will be seen on screen multiple times next year. Force 3, an action entertainer in which he shares screen space with Harshvardhan Rane, is set to hit cinemas on March 19, followed by his turn as Rakesh Maria in Rohit Shetty's Maria IPS.
