Karnataka Adijambava Development Corporation (KADC) Chairman G.S. Manjunath has assured comprehensive assistance to the family of Bhumanand, a Dalit man who was recently murdered near Sunkeshwarhal village in Deodurga taluk of Raichur district.

Mr. Manjunath visited Haddinal, the victim's native village, where he met the bereaved family and offered his condolences.

Beyond state assistance, the corporation will bear the educational expenses of the victim's three daughters up to the Pre-University Course (PUC) level. Mr. Manjunath also said the corporation would look into the family's requests for a commercial vehicle and a hollow-brick manufacturing unit to help them rebuild their livelihood.

He further stated that a house would be sanctioned through the Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Leather Industries Development Corporation (LIDKAR) after a formal report is submitted, and that financial assistance would be extended to the victim's brothers.
