Railways Approves Daily Kanpur–Anand Vihar Express Ahead of Festive Season

Indian Railways has approved a new daily express service linking Kanpur Central with Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi, a move aimed at easing travel demand during the Diwali and Chhath Puja festive period.

The train will be operated as numbers 14153 and 14154, covering the 428-km route in about 8 hours and 10 minutes in one direction and roughly 8 hours on the return leg.

Route and halts

Between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal, the service will stop at eight stations: Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad. It will run every day.

Timings

Train number 14153, the Kanpur Central–Anand Vihar (T) Mail, will leave Kanpur Central at 20:40 and arrive at Anand Vihar (T) at 04:50 the following morning. On the return trip, train number 14154, the Anand Vihar (T)–Kanpur Central Mail, will depart Anand Vihar (T) at 23:25 and reach Kanpur Central at 07:25.

The overnight schedule is expected to add berths for passengers and offer an alternative travel option between Kanpur and Delhi. The service also improves connectivity for stations along the corridor, including Etawah, Aligarh and Ghaziabad, supporting passenger movement on a busy rail route.
