Kareena Kapoor's visit to Bhansali's office fuels reunion buzz
Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Juhu office, sparking speculation of a professional reunion after their Devdas fallout.
Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan was photographed entering filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office in Juhu on Wednesday, a move that has ignited speculation about a possible on-screen collaboration between the two.
Kapoor kept the visit understated, arriving in a white suit with her hair tied back. The meeting carries weight given the widely reported professional rift between the actor and the director, which dates back to the casting of the 2002 period drama Devdas. Kapoor was reportedly in contention for the role of Paro, which ultimately went to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Should the visit lead to a formal project, it would mark the first time Kapoor and Bhansali have worked together. Bhansali is currently in post-production on his upcoming epic Love and War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt. The film, announced in January 2024, has completed its shoot and is slated for a theatrical release on January 21, 2027.
Meanwhile, Kapoor is preparing for the release of her thriller Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, follows two senior police officers who investigate a juvenile crime from differing viewpoints. Inspired by true events, Daayra explores the fallout of a crime that sparks public outrage and sets two parallel investigations in motion. It is scheduled to hit theatres on September 18.
