KEA Opens Third Round of NEET UG Counselling for Medical, Dental Seats
Karnataka Examinations Authority begins third-round seat allotment for medical and dental courses, with caution deposits due by September 28.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will commence the third round of seat allotment for undergraduate medical and dental courses on Thursday, September 24.
Candidates who wish to take part in this round must remit the caution deposit by September 28. The amount payable varies with the course and the category of seat sought.
Those who complete the deposit will be able to enter fresh options between September 25 and 29. Choices submitted during earlier rounds will not carry over and will not be taken into account for the third round.
Candidates allotted a seat in this round are required to report to the concerned college and finish the admission formalities.
The caution deposit is fixed at ₹1 lakh for candidates seeking government medical seats and all categories of dental seats. An amount of ₹12 lakh applies to those opting for government and private medical seats, while ₹25 lakh is payable for all types of seats.
Candidates who have already secured admission to a medical or dental course are exempt from paying the caution deposit. However, fees remitted for other courses cannot be adjusted against the caution deposit.
In the event that a candidate allotted a seat in the third round does not report to the college and complete admission, the caution deposit stands forfeited.
