Karnataka adds 150 medical seats for second round of counselling
Karnataka adds 150 medical seats for round-two counselling; option entry open till Sept 9.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the addition of 150 medical seats for the second round of medical and dental counselling. The move follows a directive from the state's Medical Education Department permitting admissions against these newly sanctioned seats.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna confirmed the development on Monday. Of the total additions, around 100 seats have been added at the Government Medical College in Bagalkot, while the remaining 50 seats are at Farooqia Medical College. These seats will now be part of the ongoing second-round allotment process.
Candidates who wish to be considered in this round must log in to the KEA portal and provide their consent. The window for entering or modifying options remains open until September 9. During this period, students can also rearrange their preferences.
Eligibility for this round extends to candidates who were not allotted a seat in the first round, as well as those who had selected choice 2 or choice 3 following an earlier allotment. These students are now eligible to participate afresh in the revised allotment process.
