Karnataka Launches Single Mobility App to Unify State Transport Corporations
Karnataka has rolled out a mobility app that integrates the services of four state road transport corporations onto a single digital platform.
Karnataka has launched a new mobility application aimed at bringing the services of its four state road transport corporations onto a single digital platform.
The app is designed to integrate the offerings of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) and the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC).
At present, passengers across the state deal with separate systems for each corporation. The unified platform is intended to consolidate these services so that users can access them through one interface rather than navigating multiple apps and portals.
The four corporations together cover a wide footprint, from Bengaluru's city bus network to long-distance and regional services across different parts of the state. Bringing them together on a common digital platform marks a step toward a more coordinated approach to public transport in Karnataka.
Further operational details of the app were not immediately available in the initial announcement.
