The Sanghas are conceived as student organisations that will work on issues directly affecting students. Their initial agenda is expected to focus on practical, day-to-day concerns rather than broader political mobilisation.
Among the early priorities listed are hygiene and basic amenities in hostels, upkeep of toilets, transport facilities and sports infrastructure. The groups will also take up procedural hurdles faced by students, including the issuance of caste and income certificates and matters related to admissions.
By addressing these grassroots problems, the Sanghas are intended to serve as training grounds where OBC students can gain organisational experience and emerge as future community leaders. Siddaramaiah's endorsement signals political significance for the initiative in Karnataka's student and social-justice circles.
