Kerala Cabinet to attend two-day leadership retreat at IIM Kozhikode
Kerala's Cabinet will attend a two-day residential retreat at IIM Kozhikode on Sept 4-5 to discuss governance, AI, and climate challenges.
Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and his Council of Ministers will attend a two-day residential leadership retreat at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) on September 4 and 5. The programme, titled 'Reimagining Keralam', is designed to sharpen governance and administrative efficiency.
According to IIMK, the retreat will bring together the state's political leadership, senior IIMK faculty, and distinguished international scholars. The aim is to explore emerging opportunities and complex challenges facing Kerala.
IIMK Director Debashis Chatterjee said the retreat is meant to create a shared space for strategic reflection. He noted that Kerala faces a convergence of profound challenges, including an ageing population, the disruptions of artificial intelligence, climate vulnerability, shifting migration and remittance patterns, and growing fiscal pressures.
Sessions will cover media interaction protocols and press relations, practical applications of AI, transformational leadership in the AI era, and the behavioural science of translating policy into lasting change. Participants will also discuss climate resilience and community-based disaster preparedness.
