Kerala to launch digital stage for artists with disabilities

Kerala's Social Justice department will launch Rhythm, a virtual platform to professionally showcase artistic talents of differently abled persons.

The Kerala Social Justice department is set to introduce a dedicated online platform aimed at promoting the artistic abilities of persons with disabilities. The initiative, named the 'Rhythm Virtual Platform', has been conceived under the Kerala Social Security Mission for the Differently Abled (KSSM-SID).

The platform is designed to serve as a professional digital space where the creative talents and performances of differently abled individuals can be documented, exhibited, and promoted. It is expected to function as a comprehensive repository that not only highlights their work but also helps disseminate it to a wider audience.

By providing a structured and accessible medium, the initiative seeks to give visibility to artists who often lack mainstream opportunities. The platform will enable performers and creators to present their skills in a professional manner, potentially opening doors for greater recognition and engagement.

The move reflects a broader effort by the state to leverage digital tools for social inclusion, ensuring that artistic expression remains an accessible avenue for all citizens, regardless of physical or cognitive challenges.
