Kerala Minister Visits Family of Woman Killed in California, Pledges Help

Kerala Sports Minister O.J. Janeesh visited the family of Anjana Hari, killed in California, and assured swift action to bring her body home.

Kerala Sports Minister O.J. Janeesh on Wednesday visited the family of Anjana Hari, a native of Pananchery who was killed in Milpitas, California, and assured them of the government's full support in bringing her mortal remains back to the state.

During his visit to Anjana's residence at Thekkoot, the Minister met her family members and conveyed that the state government would actively intervene to expedite all necessary procedures. He noted that Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan had already spoken to the family over the phone and that further follow-up action would be taken.

"Such cases can sometimes face delays because of legal procedures. However, considering the circumstances, the government will make every possible effort to ensure that the body of their daughter is brought home without delay," Janeesh said.

The Minister also spoke with Anjana's father, Haridas, and her father-in-law, Vijayan of Vilangannur, during the visit. The family remains in deep grief as they await the completion of official and legal formalities in the United States.
