Kharaj Mukherjee and wife safe after Nepal floods disrupt shoot, travel

Bengali actor Kharaj Mukherjee and his wife Pratibha are safe after heavy rains and flash floods in Nepal disrupted their work schedule and travel plans. The couple was in Pokhara for a shoot when the natural disaster struck, leaving them unable to return home as originally scheduled.

Their son, Tamaghna Mukherjee, took to Instagram to share a video update, addressing the concerns of fans and media who had been trying to reach the family. He confirmed that he spoke to his parents on the morning of August 27 and that both are "out of danger."

"Both my parents were in Nepal for a shoot, and I've received several messages from fans and the media asking how they are doing. I want to assure everyone that my mother and father are safe and out of danger," Tamaghna said in the video.

He explained that the location of the tragedy was far from where his parents were staying in Pokhara. However, the floods caused their return flight to be delayed and disrupted the shoot. The couple was originally scheduled to return on August 23, but the disruption forced a change in plans.

Tamaghna added that his parents are now travelling from Pokhara to Gorakhpur, from where they will take a flight back to Kolkata on August 28.

Kharaj Mukherjee is a well-known figure in both Bengali and Hindi cinema, having appeared in films such as 'Accident,' 'Muktodhara,' and 'Jaatishwar.'
