Kochi airport winter schedule adds 222 weekly flights, new Bangkok route
Cochin International Airport's winter schedule will see 1,766 weekly flight movements, up 14.40%, with new international and domestic routes.
Cochin International Airport will operate 1,766 weekly flight movements during the winter schedule, a 14.40% increase over the 1,544 services run in the summer season. The schedule takes effect from October 26, 2026, and runs through March 28, 2027, with roughly 252 flights handled daily.
Air India Express will begin four weekly services to Bangkok, expanding Kochi's links to Southeast Asia. On the international side, IndiGo will add a daily service to Fujairah, while Akasa Air will operate daily flights to Dubai, Dammam and Kuwait. IndiGo will also introduce daily domestic flights to Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.
Kochi will be connected to 32 destinations in all — 13 domestic and 19 international airports. The Gulf remains the dominant international segment, with 13 destinations: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Riyadh, Muscat, Sharjah, Jeddah, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Salalah. These account for 327 weekly arrivals. Abu Dhabi will see the most frequent international operations, while Bengaluru and Mumbai top the domestic list.
CIAL managing director S. Suhas said the airport has drawn up plans to improve passenger experience, including home baggage collection and better facilities for travellers needing special assistance.
