Kolkata Police Register Suo Motu FIR Against Mamata Banerjee Over Event Conditions

Kolkata Police have initiated legal proceedings against former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, registering a suo motu First Information Report (FIR) over an alleged breach of conditions imposed by the Calcutta High Court.

The FIR was filed at the Hastings Police Station in connection with an event held to mark the foundation day of the Trinamool Congress (TMCP). According to the police, the event was conducted in a manner that violated specific directives issued by the High Court.
