KTR Challenges Rahul Gandhi to Meet Telangana Students Over Job Promises

BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) has challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to visit Telangana and directly engage with students in the state. The challenge comes in response to Gandhi's ongoing 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' campaign, which has focused on issues like paper leaks and unemployment.

KTR said Gandhi should first listen to the concerns of Telangana's youth before speaking about student issues elsewhere. He specifically invited Gandhi to visit Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad or Karimnagar, offering full hospitality while urging him to hear what students have to say.

Recalling Gandhi's pre-election interactions with young people in Hyderabad, KTR asked what had happened to the Congress party's promise of creating two lakh government jobs every year. He alleged that unemployed youth, who were visible to Congress leaders before the elections, have been ignored since the party came to power.

KTR also criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the promised job calendar, claiming it had not delivered results. He alleged that instead of a job calendar, there was only a 'scam calendar' and a 'boothu calendar'.

The remarks come amid ongoing student protests in Telangana. Polytechnic students, including those in Karimnagar, have recently protested against the proposed merger of polytechnic education with Young India Skill University under GO 97.
